Приєднався 30 лип 2015
Hi, I'm Crystal. Here you'll find live jiu-jitsu grappling rounds with commentary explaining BJJ so smaller BJJ practitioners can more easily realize strong, real life jiu-jitsu to beat bigger opponents (aka self-defense skill).
ABOUT
Crystal is a 135 lb grappler and MMA fighter who began training in May 2016. She loves no-gi submission wrestling; mixing wrestling, BJJ, and judo principles.
This channel is different from other Brazilian jiu-jitsu youtube channels because the content creator, Crystal, is trained in analytical problem-solving from her experience as an electrical engineer. She creates entertaining and educational BJJ commentary, offering a fresh look inside martial arts life. Her perspective is intrinsically motivational to people who identify with her, specifically smaller BJJ players who need extra technical details to get their moves to work against a mat full of bigger people.

Triangle Choke EVERYONE | Setup, Tighten, Counter Defense | Jiu-jitsu #136
After watching you’ll know effective jiu-jitsu techniques that work in nogi and gi to:
Get the ultimate BJJ triangle choke toplock aka the key in how to setup triangle chokes
Tighten your triangle choke resulting in a glassy eye’d, dazed stare after tapping
Learn the MOST COMMON triangle choke defense moves so you can anticipate what they’ll do to escape your triangle and have an answer ready and waiting (aka triangle choke escape counters and triangle choke defense counters)
TRIANGLE CHOKE SUMMARY
In jiu-jitsu, the triangle choke technique is done by capturing the opponent’s head and one arm within a closed guard, which means legs crossed at the ankle. In the context of a triangle, this position is called a toplock. From a toplock, control head, angle, lock triangle, and finish by stopping carotid artery blood flow to the brain.
TRIANGLE SETUP
The best triangle setup focuses on obtaining a toplock and head control. One technique is to bridge to elevate hips while shoving one arm outside of the toplock resulting in one arm and head within the toplock.
STOP LOSING TRIANGLES VS LARGER, STRONGER PLAYERS
By ALWAYS controlling the head you ALWAYS control their posture therefore keeping their posture (and their spirit) broken
TIGHTER TRIANGLE CHOKE
The number one way to get a tight triangle choke is locking over the shoulder. This means your hamstring is over their shoulder as opposed to your inner thigh beside the shoulder.
TIGHTER TRIANGLE CHOKE
Another way to tight the triangle choke is by pulling the head while bridging. This adds more pressure to the arteries, choking off blood flow to the brain.
TIGHTER TRIANGLE CHOKE
Also, tighten the triangle is by angling legs outward with flexed feet which closes / decreases the area within your triangled legs
MOST COMMON TRIANGLE CHOKE REACTIONS
A common triangle choke defense is stacking. Counter being stacked by shoulder walking backward while pressing against the top of their head and pulling the back of their head
MOST COMMON TRIANGLE CHOKE REACTIONS
A common triangle choke defense is posturing up by getting a high head and straight back. Counter posturing by controlling the head throughout the ENTIRE triangle, from setup to finish
MOST COMMON TRIANGLE CHOKE REACTIONS
Which counter uses switching the lockside??
MOST COMMON TRIANGLE CHOKE REACTIONS
A common triangle choke defense is hiding the arm. Counter by kimura’ing or by switching the lock and getting arm over your torso
